Our own prompts

82 trivia prompts we wrote ourselves, in the Krillion style: rare answers win.

Endless prompts · 25 seconds each · 3 lives · rarer answers score more

Name anything that fits, then keep guessing to beat your best answer. An obvious answer or no answer costs a life.

Prompts you won't find in the daily dive

Most prompts on this site come from past Krillion daily dives. The ones on this page are different: we wrote them, built their answer lists and graded every answer ourselves. The game above plays only these, with the same rules as everywhere else on the site: 25 seconds a prompt, 3 lives, and the rarer your best answer, the more it scores.

They are closed sets with a clear end, the kind players say they like best: every Ballon d'Or winner, every Masters champion, every Hitchcock feature, every signer of the Declaration of Independence. When a list keeps changing, such as a league's teams or an award's winners, the prompt names the season or the cut-off date, so you know exactly what counts.

How we write and check them

  1. Pick a set with a public source. Each prompt is built on a list that anyone can check, mostly Wikipedia list pages and official sites such as UNESCO's. The source is named below.
  2. Draft the list. We draft prompts and answer lists with the help of AI tools that can search the web, then edit the wording by hand.
  3. Check it with scripts. Every answer has to appear on its source page. We also check that no two answers are close enough for the typo tolerance to mix them up, and that a new prompt doesn't repeat or sit inside one already in the game.
  4. Grade the rarity. Daily-dive prompts carry Krillion's grading from real players. For ours there is no such data yet, so the six tiers, from Obvious to Gem, are our estimate of how often players would give each answer.
  5. Explain the gem. Every prompt ships with a short note on why its rarest answer fits and why few people think of it. For the Rugby World Cup prompt, for example: Ivory Coast played in 1995, their only appearance.

Corrections

Answers that don't match are logged anonymously, and we review the ones typed for our prompts and add those that are correct. If you know a list is wrong or out of date, email contact@krillionunlimitedgame.com with the prompt and a link; the game also offers a prefilled email after each of our prompts. Missing answers in daily-dive prompts are a different case, see how to report those.

FAQ

Are these from the official Krillion game?
No. They are written by Krillion Unlimited, an independent fan site not affiliated with krillion.io. The official daily game is at krillion.io.
Do they show up in the main game too?
Yes. Krillion Unlimited and the theme modes mix them in with past daily-dive prompts. This page is the only place that plays nothing else, and after each prompt the game says whether it is ours.
Some prompts have no source listed. Why?
Those are our first prompts, written before we began recording sources: well-known sets such as the noble gases, the wives of Henry VIII or the states of Mexico.
How often are new ones added?
In batches, a topic at a time. New prompts appear here and in the game as soon as they pass the checks above.
