Games Like Krillion

What to play when today's dive is done.

Krillion asks a simple question, like "Name a country in Africa", and then turns trivia upside down: the answer everyone gives is worth the least, and the one nobody thinks of is worth the most. One dive a day is rarely enough, so here are games that scratch the same itch, grouped by what you enjoy most about it.

If you love chasing the rare answer

Krillion's hook is that the obvious answer is worth the least. Few games score that way, but these come close.

  • Krillion Unlimited

Our free unlimited mode: seven past Krillion prompts per dive, rarity scoring, and no daily limit.

  • Reverse Krillion

The same prompts with the scoring flipped: the most common answer wins. A good warm-up, and harder than it sounds.

  • Pointless

The British TV quiz built on the same idea. Contestants try to give correct answers that the fewest of 100 surveyed people thought of.

  • Scattergories

The party game of naming things in categories that start with a given letter, where answers that match another player's score nothing.

If you play Krillion with your morning word games

Many Krillion players arrive straight from the New York Times games page.

  • Wordle

Six tries to find one five-letter word. Short, daily and the game that started the trend.

  • Connections

Sort sixteen words into four hidden groups. Like Krillion, it rewards knowing a lot of loosely related trivia.

  • Spelling Bee

Make as many words as you can from seven letters. The long, obscure words are where the points are, which will feel familiar.

  • Minute Cryptic

One cryptic crossword clue a day, designed to be solved in about a minute.

If geography prompts are your favourite

Country and capital prompts are some of the most played in Krillion. These games go deeper.

  • Krillion Geography

Unlimited dives made only of geography prompts: countries, capitals, flags, rivers and cities.

  • Globle

Guess the mystery country; each wrong guess is coloured by how close it is on the globe.

  • Worldle

Identify a country from its outline, with distance and direction hints after each guess.

  • Flagle

A daily flag-guessing game that reveals the flag piece by piece.

If you like trivia with a twist

Daily guessing games that test a different kind of general knowledge.

  • Chronophoto

Guess the year a photo was taken. The closer you get, the more points you score.

  • Metazooa

Guess the mystery animal; each guess shows where it sits on the tree of life relative to the answer.

  • Krillion Movies & TV

Unlimited dives of film and TV prompts: studios, actors, directors and characters.

  • Krillion Sports

Unlimited dives of sports prompts: Olympic events, teams, champions and rules.
