Reverse Krillion

The opposite of Krillion: the most common answer wins.

7 prompts · 25 seconds each · common answers score more

Think like everyone else: the answer most players give is worth the most.

How reverse mode works

Classic Krillion pays you for thinking of what nobody else does. Reverse Krillion flips that: you get the most points for the answer that most players give. Same prompts, same 7-prompt dives and 25-second timer, but now the goal is to read the crowd instead of beating it. Some players know this format as Noillirk, which is Krillion spelled backwards.

It is harder than it sounds. When you know a topic well, your first answer is often too specific. "Name a sport played with a racquet" wants tennis, not squash. Reverse mode trains the instinct that also makes you better at the classic game: once you know what everyone says, you know what to avoid.

Reverse scoring

  • ObviousThe answer nearly everyone types first. Exactly what you want here.100
  • Too cleverThe 'clever' pick that half the players also thought of.85
  • CommonA solid, popular answer.60
  • RareKnown, but not what most people say.30
  • Deep cutObscure. Correct, but it barely scores.15
  • GemThe rarest pick. In reverse, a gem is a miss.10

Tips for thinking like the crowd

  • Say the first thing that comes to mind, then ask whether a child would say it too.
  • Prefer the most famous example over the most correct one.
  • Watch out for "Too clever" answers. They are popular, but not quite as popular as the plain obvious one.
  • Big countries, big brands and blockbuster titles are your friends.

Reverse Krillion FAQ

What is the opposite of Krillion?
A version where the scoring runs backwards. In Krillion the rarest correct answer scores the most; in reverse mode the answer the most players give scores the most, and the rarest gem scores the least.
Is this the same as Noillirk?
It follows the same idea that players call Noillirk, built independently on this site. It is not an official Krillion mode and is not affiliated with krillion.io.
Do wrong answers cost points?
No. As in the classic mode, you can keep guessing until the timer runs out. Only the first accepted answer counts, so don't rush into a rare one.
Which prompts are used?
The same pool as Krillion Unlimited: hundreds of past daily prompts and our own, seven per dive.
